Non-invasive exfoliation
Diamond Microdermabrasion and Dermaplaning are non-surgical simple way's to deeply exfoliate the skin. They work by gently removing the top layer of the skin (epidermis) and in doing so treats many common skin conditions leaving the fresher younger skin cells at the surface.

As well as removing the “rough” layer of skin, microdermabrasion stimulates the collage and elastic production resulting in the skin looking brighter and feeling firmer and smoother.

The Diamond Derma system uses various sized stainless steel Diamond encrusted tipped applicator heads which are shaped like a small doughnut, the application heads are attached to a wand which is attached to the vacuum tube.

The diamonds gently but effectively buff off the top layer of dead skin cells using an adjustable vacuum suction through the centre of the head.

Diamond Derma can be applied to the face, neck, chest, hands, upper arms, bikini line, stomach, back and feet, pretty much anywhere on the body that has any skin conditions that can be treated with Diamond Derma. Read on for Dermaplaning

The treatment

During your treatments your specialist Therapist will use your own individual Gold & Collagen Face Mask and Serum products.
Skin response

Immediately following your treatment your skin will be fresh and bright and may appear pink (this will depend on your individual skin type). Areas of sun damage (age spots/sun spots) are likely to appear darker. This is a good sign and shows that the damaged/pigmented cells have risen to the surface of the skin. It will take a few days for the darker pigmented areas to begin to break down and then you will see the improvement in skin texture and skin colour.

You should expect to have a course of between 6-12 treatments for optimal results. It is imperative that the skin is nourished at home during the days following your treatment, your therapist will advise which products are best to use. It is also vital that you use an SPF following your treatment. There is no down time

Dermaplaning
Not as scary as it sounds, especially when undertaken by our professional therapist. Dermaplaning is a form of mechanical exfoliation, where both the dead skin cells and vellus hairs (the fine hairs on your face, otherwise known as ‘peach fuzz’) are scraped away from the surface of the skin using a sterile surgical scalpel.
We provide dermaplaning treatments in combination with skin peels as we find we get better results.
The benefits of dermaplaning are pretty much endless as it triggers the cell regeneration process, which helps to improve, soften and smooth the appearance of acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, radiant skin isn’t the only plus, the removal of dead skin cells during the treatment maximises the absorption of skin peels, as well as serums and moisturisers, which means you’ll get much better results.

Don’t let the word ‘scalpel’ put you off. During dermaplaning, you can expect a slightly cold, scraping sensation (a bit like shaving your face with a razor blade). It’s slightly unusual but not remotely painful and unlike other treatments such as microneedling or acid peels, there isn’t any major downtime, so you can brave the outside world without the fear of scaring everyone off.
Dermaplaning is a safe skin treatment, but it should be avoided in those with acne or pigmentation problems as the skin can potentially become worse. In addition Sensitive skin types may not tolerate the procedure well and those with inflammatory skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema and psoriasis should avoid treatment. Dermaplaning treatments can be repeated every 3 to 4 weeks. The peach fuzz or fine hair that is removed will grow back, but the idea that they’ll return thicker or darker is a myth. If you’re looking into dermaplaning as a form of hair removal, be aware that we offer more effective permanent solutions, such as laser hair removal, IPL or waxing.
